[...I dun't know why it's typed that way...
and it was a tuesday not wednesday]
The next two days were a lot easier on Laydon. More normal. Easier because of the advice Kirk had given him. And more normal because Evan hadn't shown up at school again. However the normal started to become unbalanced. A couple times on Wednesday Laydon had gotten sick and ran out of class to throw up, more on Thursday. But he didn't feel sick, it was just spontaneous. He didn't tell anyone he had gotten sick either. Just let it role. So it was odd, but still better.
And then Friday came....
Laydon's alarm clock ended up being the left overs from his late dinner the night before. That called Grams to him.
"Laydon," she called coming up the stairs. "What's going on?" But once again he felt fine the second he was done.
He didn't want to lie Grams so when she came in to him brushing his teeth he spit and said, "I think I'm getting sick."
"So you have been throwing up?" She asked. "The school contacted me when your teacher found out." She explained to his astonishment.
"Ah," he shrugged. "It only comes up suddenly, and then when I throw up it's fine the second after, I don't get it. But it's not stopping me from doing anything so I didn't think I should bother you."
"It might be something serious," Grams noted.
For some reason beyond his control Laydon didn't want to have the conversation anymore. "It's not, Grams. I got to get going for school. I'm going to be late." Before she could open her mouth to protest he was out the door.

School began normal, Jocelyn cornered him before for a quick macking. It wasn't until on his way to second period, when he was finally waking up did he notice the addition to their campus. A redhead girl and black-haired boy walking with each other up ahead of him.
Oh no, Laydon thought when the feeling of uncontrolable happiness came over him. He wanted to run up and talk to her, know who she was walking with. But he couldn't he bit his tounge to stop himself. And then he saw her walk into his second period Stats class. Shit, he thought. He was going to be fine...Patrick was in this class with him. He'd save him. So Laydon, feeling a little more sturdy, walked into class and straight to his seat, looking nowhere else.
"Hey, man," he said when Patrick sat down next to him.
"What it do?" Patrick replied. Patrick wasn't as close to him as Ethan, but he was a close second. They had a lot in common. Such as the Fanboy in them and the artistic talent. While Laydon liked to draw, Patrick was a musician. And then Patrick saw Evan. "Woah," he commented. "Whose the babe? And dude in black?"
As Laydon had saw when he entered behind her was the brother she mentioned. But he continued to note look. "New girl," he said without looking. "And her brother," he added.
"Really?" Patrick said continuing to look, nodding, afro bouncing with him. "Hmmmm."
"Ethan called dibs," Laydon said. "Like for real this time, not one-nighting." He said when he saw Patrick raising his eyebrows.
"Ah," Patrick said putting his hands behind his head. "Well, what's the harm in flirting?" He looked over at Evan again and smiled then winked. That was when Laydon knew she was looking that way, so he pulled his hood over his head knowing that she would recognize his blond hair. He put his head down on his desk, into his folding arms.
But it was too late. He could tell by watching Patrick. He had smiled more encouragingly and nodded at the two empty seats in front of them that two flouncy girls usually occupied that hadn't gotten there yet.
"Hey girl," Patrick said when Laydon saw her sit down out of the corner of his eye. "Girl's bro." He held out a fist.
Her brother looked at it and punded it with his. "Sup?" Laydon heard him say. "Randy," he pointed at himself Laydon presumed. Then nodded to Evan, "And my sister Evan."
"I see," Patrick said. "Patrick's the name. And this is my bud Laydon who has come down with an incredible shyness."
Laydon looked up after squeexing his eyes shut furiously, making a note to himself to kick Patrick's ass later. "Hey," he said to Randy. "Nice seeing you again," he added to Evan.
"So you're Laydon," Randy said. "Evan mentioned you a couple nights ago." Randy was as attractive as Evan with black hair though, dyed by the look of it, that looked like it had a mind of it's own under his beany, and a playful face.
"Did she now?" Laydon smiled grudgingly and looked at her. Suprisingly enough she blushed.
"And the other friends I met," she added, her voice as perfect as Laydon remembered. "Haley, Ethan, Jessy, and Monica. I remember."
"But you said," Randy began, "that Laydon--"
"Shut it Randy," Evan snapped, then the teacher began the lesson.
So Evan had talked about him. Laydon was flattered. That was until he felt guilty. Then Patrick pulled out his phone, this teacher was good and let them use cell phones 'as calculators' he said. And then Laydon's phone lit up.
