Yay for hoome Computer xD (and my dad getting off it)

[from the ending of last post. And btw I hate it when you text over 12 ppl and NO ONE texts you back]

[Uhhhhh....no one loves me]x

Laydon rolled his eyes. "Thank you wise Dragon," he put his hands together mockingly and bowed. Kirk was into the chinese zodiac lately; decorating the shop in his latest trends and obsessions. "You're lucky I didn't just get done at the beach."

"Chyah," Kirk laughed. "Nothing to bring in customers like the smell of wet dog."

Laydon shook his head at Kirk, mockingly. Kirk's real name was Travis, but he had never seemed like one so everyone knew him by his last name. He was a built man with a little goatee and the look of a fawn. He also had scars around his face from where a dog had bit him when he was younger, which is why he made fun of Laydon's zodiac. He had opened the cafe right out of high school, four years ago.

Laydon loved the coffee shop as if it was his own. He loved the atmosphere of college kids intermingled with busy business men and lonely women. All the regulars were his friends by now and all of the newbies would adore him. Laydon was just that way, charismatic in a way he didn't even understand.

As he worked a conversation with Kirk started.

"So anything new happening lately?" Kirk asked as they got to work at the tables or counter.

"Meh," Laydon shrugged. He still wasn't sure he wanted to talk to Kirk about it, even though he was the closest thing he had to a brother or even father now that Pops was gone.

Kirk set down the cup he was about to make a drink in and crossed his arms at Laydon. "Perce, I know you better than most people and they know something is up. So I ask again: anything new happen lately?" He picked up the cup and began working again.

Laydon rolled his eyes. "Yeah actually. I met somebody."

Kirk didn't glance over, but smiled a crooked smile. "Is that so? A girl?"

"Maybe," Laydon shrugged and took another order before continuing. "I ditched the first half of school and met her at the park. Then she turned up at school."

"And you like her?" Kirk asked. "But you have Jocelyn if I recall."

"Jocelyn's...." Laydon trailed off unsure how to finish the sentence. "Off. You know how she is."

"Aye, I do," Kirk said. "A little unstable. Something you're too kind to say your self though. I think that there is more to what you're saying though. What does Ethan think about this?" He knew he had hit the nail on it's head.

Laydon groaned. "Seriously man? Why don't you do your pyschic shit for a living instead of this?"

"This is what I do," Kirk answered. "I work, a lot I might add, and then mentor you with this 'psychic shit' in the meantime. I mean, I could not."

Laydon rolled his eyes. "Thank you for doing it anyways dude."

"Yeah," Kirk said. "Anyways, so Ethan?"

Laydon put his head in his hands. "He likes her, like more than his usual stuff. And I know I shouldn't feel this way, like he's the reason I'm not going after her because I have Jocelyn, and even though I know everyone would be so much better off if I did end it I still can't because like you put too kind to say myself. But I just feel a connection between me and her. When I first saw her it was like I wasn't me just air. I don't know, man, and now I just sound like such a girl and, oh dear gods, there she is." He looked at the girl come inside and ducked under the counter.

He crawled to the edge of the counter and looked at her. True a red head girl had just come inside, but it wasn't Evan. So he stood back up to Kirk roaring with laughter.

"Wow, man," he said between his laughter. "You must have it bad, that was the most hillarious thing I've ever seen."

"Shut up," he glared at Kirk and took the girl's order. "Ugh, I just don't know what to do."

"I do," Kirk said fixing the drink. "Which is why, I assume, you talked to me."

"Yes," Laydon waved a hand for him to continue.

"Just be her friend, get to know her." He shrugged. "Don't hurt Ethan if you can help it, and just see what happens. Don't force anything."

"Right," Laydon nodded. "Natural. And don't tell Jocelyn anything." He added, smiling.

"Exactly," Kirk said.

[That's it for now, If I can't find food in like 10 minutes I'll start writing again....yeah.
