[in the car on my cell phone so no caps :/ sorry]

laydon groaned in agony as he threw his bookbag onto the passenger seat of his sleek dark blue volkswagon beetle, Jacky. he started it up playing the bug's name sake, Dark Blue by Jack's Mannequin, hoping the music would distract him. it didn't. he wound his way out of the small parking lot so he could make it to Webs on time.
even though they lived in la jolla farms, the more upscale part of town he still worked. he did for luxery money and because, well, he liked it.
as he drove down to the main street where the coffee shop was, he still couldnt get *her* out of his mind. there were so many questions he wanted to ask herg, likce if she felt the attraction between them. there was so much he wanted to learn about her as well. but he knew all that was never going to happen. ethan was his best friend and he respected him too much to try.
he drove down the street hoping for a parking spo7t and found one byx alfonzos. so he walked a little bit before reaching the shop, looking for a nice chat with Kirk to cheer him up.
webs had a few customer sitting around, mostly college students working. laydon figured more would come in a bit from the high school and catholic school.
he went behind the counter and punched in; as he put on his apron the scruffy manager walked out of his office.
"ah, percival." he smiled, eyes twinkling. "i thought i smelt a dog walk in."
